You can get discounts if you do a search for ACE rather than purchasing it directly from School of Tomorrow, because you can order it from a warehouse, not from the publisher. I have done that before and gotten old versions of the curriculum. The new versions are better, though, so I might not do that again. BUT it might not matter for first grade. It was the older grades that I didn’t like the former
We all (including our 1 yr. old) take 1 teaspoon of cod liver oil every day. Well, when I remember and make sure it all happens, which is not always!
Anyway, it has helped us so much with fighting sicknesses and other things. I know it sounds disgusting, but I actually look forward to it now that I’m used it. We get the lemon-flavored Nordic Naturals Arctic Cod Liver Oil, and it doesn’t taste fis

Increasing my calcium (good to take at bedtime because it helps you go to sleep. Hey, I need to go take some calcium and get off the computer! Ha.) and iron helped my teeth grinding/clenching and biting the inside of my mouth. Also going to the chiropractor is helping.
Be sure to never take iron and calcium at the same time because they cancel each other out!Foods like oranges and tomatoes help the b

I heard that for a big family to sell a house, it is often way more effective to make it look like a small family lives there. Apparently people need to “feel” that it is the right house, and if it is set up for several children, it may not feel right to them. I mentioned that to somebody one time, and it made the difference! What do I mean? Well, if you have several sets of bunk beds, you mi

My alignment sometimes gets messed up because of having my purse on one side, pregnancies, crossing my legs, poor posture, etc. I have learned a neat stretch to avoid paying for lots of chiropractor visits!
I lay on my back on the floor and put my feet and calves on the couch or a chair. I just lay there for a little while and it really helps align everything again.
For me, the best place to do it is where we have

If you’re like me, being awakened from a sound sleep by a little one in the middle of the night can be very disorienting! I am so thankful that our children usually sleep through the night from a young age, and this is one reason why:
We got an idea from Growing Kids God’s Way called “couch time”. When your husband comes home from work, you and he have this “couch time” toget

When my kids leave their music books out, walk with shoes one the carpet, or do their chores sloppily (or not do them at all), I give them an extra chore.
I realized that if a child is trying to get out of work, the answer to fix the problem is MORE WORK. If they are trying to get out of work, they are telling me their motivation! Assigning extra chores has worked better than anything else for this problem.
